In the dead of night three scientists set out to create a machine which has the ability to extract thoughts, however they become the subjects of their own experiment, unearthing the unexpected and questioning their creation. Combining a frantic physicality and snappy, poetic wordplay the piece explores our understanding of indoctrination and control within everyday life.
Manic Chord’s debut project was an experiment into game play and absurdist performance. Exploring slapstick and 'larking about' the company developed a distinctive playfulness that has filtered into our subsequent work.
